The Kurt Ribak Trio CDs are on sale. You can buy them online at CDBaby, amazon.com and at Musicians Union Local 6.
Brick and Mortar alert! You can now also walk into Groove Yard at 5555 Claremont Avenue Oakland, CA 94618 and buy the Kurt Ribak Trio CD in a real live record store. Groove YArd is a great independent jazz LP and CD store. It may also be at Down Home Music at 10341 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, CA 94530 but they seem to have problems filing the record. Down Home is one of the treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is my favorite record stores, with a wonderful inventory and a knowledgeable staff.
CDBaby is a great way for independent musicians like us to get our product out into the market. Musicians Union Local 6 only takes checks but it's a better deal money-wise for the musicians and is cheaper for the customer.
If you want to hear samples of the CD before buying, go to http://www.cdbaby.com/kurtribaktrio and you can download shortened samples of the tunes. CDBaby takes credit cards, so for many folks it's a more convenient way to buy.
If you want to order it from Local 6 it's $12.00 for the CD plus $2.00 per item shipped - in other words, it'll cost $14.00 for one CD, $28.00 for two CDs and so on. It's slightly cheaper to get the CD from the Union but they only take checks - no credit cards. If you get the CD from the Union I also get the entire $12.00 - CDbaby takes a cut when they sell it.
Please mail your order to us along with your check made out to:

it with you to a gig and we'll give you a shiny new CD with cover art
and everything. Such a deal!
Michael Burman, the KCSM-FM disc jockey, wrote a nice profile of Kurt and the Kurt Ribak Trio CD and personnel. We've also uploaded bios of Kurt, Greg Sankovich, and Tim Solook.
